VW Late Bay Cooling Kit & Gearbox

Martin originally booked in with us for a gearbox refurbish, his gearbox was getting noisy & wining. This was a already a Subaru engined bay but on closer inspection engine was leaking oil from the cam seal & it also had the wrong reverse throttle body on so was stalling at junctions. We took out the radiator & plastic coolant lines, Replaced it with our own cooling system. Installed his new gearbox & reinstalled his engine & he was good to go!

James’s 2.0 turbo Vw Beetle

James’s Custom VW Subaru powered beetle. If you are thinking this is quick.. you’d be right! This thing is a pocket rocket. After owning it a few months James contacted us to just check it over as he didn’t really know what he had & wanted some information. On inspection the engines idle control valve was sticking open causing it the engine to idle higher than normal. Cleaned out & a new knock sensor installed it was ready to hit the road! We have told James to go to a rolling road & get it set up!

Matt’s VW T25 Aircooled Subaru Engine Conversion

Matt’s VW T25 Aircooled Subaru Engine Conversion

Matt’s T25 Aircooled. Unlike our standard engine conversions this one is a little different. Due to this being aircooled we needed to make it into watercooled. Once the engine & fuel tank we removed we set about installing all new stainless water pipes to connect the new installed radiator with the now subaru engine. This process does take a little longer due to getting all the water pipes in the correct places to not clash with the fuel tank & have no vibrations. Fitted a new front heater in behind the radiator to blow lovely warm air through the original vents & a rear heater! From us it left to go to Fisher Restorations to have a bottom half respray. A very nice bus!

Rowan’s Vw Bay Window Subaru Engine Conversion

Rowans beautiful looking VW bay window single cab in for Subaru EJ20 conversion with front heater. Whilst doing the conversion he’d asked if we could upgrade the brakes, we fitted our wilwood disc brake kit with duel circuit master cylinder & put fresh brake fluid through the whole system. We also upgraded his stock shocks to damper adjustable protech shock which was a huge difference in the ride, due to this being a single cab with no weight over the rear wheels.

Vw Splitscreen Bus with new Steering Rack

Rob’s bus originally came into us for a Revol engineering steering rack as he said the van was all over the place whilst driving down the motorways. On inspection we noticed who ever originally installed the Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) had done the install completely wrong, which mean’t the buses rear wheels had to much toe. After removing & re-installing the IRS in the correct position the bus drove much better but the original steering box was still very worn so we installed the new steering rack. After a full geometry setup on all 4 corner it drove a dream!

VW Bay Subaru Engine Refresh

VW Bay Subaru Engine Refresh

Phil’s VW Bay (Garfeild) Engine Refresh

Phil’s install was originally completed 8 years ago. Now looking a little tired he brought it in for a full engine refurb. We removed the engine, stripped it down & removed the heads. New valves, stem seals & head gaskets. Removed any oxidisation from the aluminium block, repainted & rebuilt with all new orings & gaskets. Whilst checking over the vehicle we had noticed it needed some front end work. The beam was rotten & ball joints failing. So we installed a new Transporter House adjustable front beam with dropped spindles, new ball joint & coilovers! The end result was amazing, engine was more responsive & customer extremely pleased.
